Ways to convince Your Boss Ways to Save
Overview

Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) technology is the next frontier for businesses looking to streamline processes, increase productivity and ultimately improve the bottom-line.

IPA typically uses artificial intelligence to handle repetitive, rules-based, back-office tasks. And the market is about to experience a period of "explosive" growth.

The IPA/RPA market grew 64 percent to $200 million last year and is expected to grow 70 to 90 percent by 2020 because successful pilot projects are inspiring buyer confidence in the technology, the consulting and research firm reports.

However, there are some barriers to adoption, such as IT departments concerned about data security and loss of control. Plus, replacing staff with robots in some sectors, such as government, could become a political minefield.

Join us at IPA Summit in March to hear from subject matter experts currently evaluating IPA for their businesses in areas such as Finance, Procurement, HR, Outsourcing, Automation, etc.

While Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) is often the first tool to garner investment as it leads to quick wins with a lower investment, IPA is only one tool in the automation toolbox, and this event covers the gamut of intelligent automation technologies including cognitive, machine learning, AI, and more.

Topic Abstract

Intelligent Process automation is changing the way enterprises operate by using advances in technology to optimize processes, personalize customer experiences and enhance decision making. In this session, we will reveal the steps pioneering organizations are taking toward intelligent automation, as well as the ways they balance the operational efficiencies gained with the changes for their workforce. This session will walk you through the essential foundations that are required when you embark on your Intelligent Process Automation Journey.

Divya Rajagopal, Agile & Automation Leader, IBM Services
Topic Abstract

1. ACE Maturity & Operating model is the combination of Capabilities, Processes, Governance and Performance management that enables an Enterprise to deliver services to its consumers or with an organization
2. Drives the current maturity of Technology stake currently deployed by client for Automation. Its Benchmarking with Best in Class tools

Sudhanshu Bhatnagar, Intelligent Automation Consulting, SI Practitioner, Accenture Technology
Topic Abstract

"It is the best of two worlds. Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) refers to the application of Artificial Intelligence and related new technologies, including Computer Vision, Cognitive automation and Machine Learning to Robotic Process Automation".
If we talk of evolution of the enterprise intelligence, then it has evolved from Hollerith Tabulating Machines in 1900s to calculate sales performance of employees to Cognitive systems where systems have capabilities to emulate human brain in 2010s eg: autonomous cars. The technology evolves exponentially over time than any human brain can imagine. Human can only imagine linear growth, so in order to pace up with the way technology evolves, we have to quickly advance our skills and thought process to drive process automation on streamlined, standard and structured processes and then add intelligence to take care of the non-standard part.
How to drive Intelligent Process Automation: Robotic Process Automation is the pathway to Artificial Intelligence. It's a quick hit method to enhance efficiency of already stabilized and simple processes and gain immediate ROI. However, if we are looking at multi-folds impact of technology on any process, then we need to disrupt the processes and look at E2E transformation using RPA and Machine Learning/NLP so that both the standard and non-standard, structured and non- structured processes can be digitized and the solution becomes intelligent enough to sustain and manage any change in future without any failure.

Conclusion

Digital Transformation is a journey and at every stage, we need to ensure we have sign offs from every stakeholder and interested party involved, have strong change management and governance so everyone embarks the journey and ensure data security and compliance is followed as that is the backbone of any successful digital transformation

Parveen Khanam, Assistant Vice President, Genpact
Topic Abstract

As organizations begin to look beyond RPA, they are seeking various technologies to realize further value. Diverse applied intelligence technologies are being explored by clients seeking to realize further value. But often it is not the solution in and of itself that produces the results; rather it is the synergies between technologies that is helping in driving the way forward

Vikrant Wadhwani, Intelligent Automation Practitioner
Topic Abstract

What does a Service Desk organization do when it is supporting ~200k employees spread across 50+ countries and providing support in 8 different languages? The challenges further increase because of legal limitations in standardizing procedures, frontline agents with very less experience and cultural sensitivities of your customers; further compounded by constant pressure to reduce costs.
We came up with our Intelligent Process Automation strategy about a year ago. Since then we have deployed virtual robots, virtual agent with machine learning capabilities, orchestration agents for system integration etc for some of our top requested services which has resulted in -10k service requests per month being fulfilled using automation and a reduction in almost ~800 calls a day as our chat bot transactions have steadily increased. Our service delivery using automation is completely personalized as we start every transaction by first identifying the user's location and then responding accordingly while the system automatically takes into account the language, local legal requirements etc.
While there is a section of mankind wondering if automation and artificial intelligence is good for the world, this author stands in absolute support of technology which reduces operational costs while increasing efficiency and customer satisfaction by leaps and bounds.

Topic Abstract

The topic that I am going to focus on today is Beyond Robotic Process Automation (RPA), your next intelligent automation move. Through the course of my presentation, I aim not just to introduce and explain the core philosophy & understanding with respect to IPA, but also to uphold the change in scale that IPA would bring about over the next few years, the transformative value it would hold & the ramifications that would be witnessed across industries.
Organizations across the world continue to struggle with ways in which they can achieve sustainable growth & increased productivity through process effeciencies, reduction in costs, enhancement of transparency, improvement in accuracy and adherence to regulatory compliances within their back-office operations. The challenges remain and the ecosystem continues to grow complex as firms find it difficult to adopt the right mix of tools to move towards an Efficient Organisation Model. It is here that we step in with the New Kid on the Block - IPA & AIPA.
